Manages Brady Services mechanical and control engineering, design, and estimating operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Proven experience with the design and engineering of HVAC air and water systems
Proven experience with steam and process piping design
Experience with controls system design and system operation
Responsible for managing, training and scheduling engineering and estimating staff
Manage project receipt from sales and turnover to operations
Meets with contractors and owners to discuss scope of projects, budgets, performances, and closeouts
Provide oversight and be held accountable for all plan and spec estimating
Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction
Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and project parameters and sets procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex contracting applications
Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
5-10 years experience in the design of simple to complex HVAC solutions
3-5 years of management experience
Advanced working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft products, Auto-cad, and load estimating software
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
N.C. Licensed P.E. required
LEED certified preferred
N.C. H1, H2, H3 license preferred
