Central Carolina Community College students Marshall McIntyre and Stephen Perry were recently awarded the annual Mike Bradley Memorial Scholarship.
Both students are enrolled in the Industrial Systems program at CCCC and are working towards obtaining their Associate of Applied Science Degree. The students were hand selected by Allen Howington, Department Chair for Industrial Systems, who described both students as “two of the hardest working, dedicated students in the program.” Both Marshall and Stephen received a $500 scholarship to help cover tuition and books.
Established by the Association of Community College Facility Operations in 2014, the Bradley Memorial Scholarship was named in honor of Mike Bradley by his long-time employer, Brady. Bradley served as an outspoken supporter of and advocate for ACCFO. In his honor, Brady funds the annual scholarship to be given to students at a member college pursuing a degree in automotive, air conditioning, heating and refrigeration or industrial technologies through the ACCFO organization. ACCFO members are employed as maintenance directors, managers, supervisors, physical plant managers and foremen employed by North Carolina Community Colleges to oversee physical plant operations and buildings and grounds maintenance.
