Garret Stefanick, a GAP Apprentice at Brady, has emerged victorious in the recent State SkillsUSA competition, earning the chance to compete at the National level. SkillsUSA is a national organization that promotes career and technical education and provides students with the opportunity to showcase their skills in various trades and professions.

Stefanick, who competed in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigerant category, impressed the judges with his exceptional skills, knowledge, and professionalism. He was able to demonstrate his expertise by trouble shooting on a package heat pump, split system, and brazing joints. Garret completed the assigned tasks with ease and precision.

The National SkillsUSA competition will take place in Atlanta, GA from June 19 to 23. Contestants from all over the country will compete in various categories. Stefanick will represent North Carolina in the HVAC-R competition.

Mike Shelton, Garret’s supervisor, said “Garret has grown tremendously and will continue to grow. He is a fast learner and retains a ton of information that will carry him to be part of the next generation of leaders.”

We know that no matter what the results, Garret will represent Brady well and has already made us proud!
