For the third year, associates at Brady (www.bradyservices.com), a provider of energy‐efficient HVAC systems and comprehensive building solutions, have held a friendly “Food Fight” competition to raise donations in support of local food banks. Greensboro‐based associates are the winners this year having raised cash donations to purchase 4,920 meals for the Second Harvest Food Bank in Winston‐Salem, N.C. Raleigh‐based associates have raised enough to purchase 2,561 meals for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. In total, the food drive has provided more than 7,481 meals for hungry North Carolinians.

“The economy has really hit families hard,” says Jim Brady, president of Brady. “Our associates all feel grateful to have stable employment and wanted to share their good fortune by helping their neighbors who are struggling to put food on the table.”

The two food banks were selected because of their affiliation with Feeding America (www.feedingamerica.org). Its Virtual Food Drive program maximizes the effectiveness of donations. For every $1 given, the local food bank is able to supply up to eight meals.

Brady, which employs 327 North Carolinians, has a culture of community giving. Associates are recognized for their involvement with local non‐profit organizations and the company owners donate significant sums of money and equipment to education programs across the state.
