Brady Technician Earns Top National Recognition at SkillsUSA Competition
When dedication meets determination, extraordinary things happen. At Brady, we’re proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our team members as they continue to grow both professionally and personally. Recently one of our technicians, Camden Leonard, a graduate of Brady’s Cohort 2 Mentorship Program, earned national recognition for his outstanding HVAC skills.
In March 2026, SkillsUSA hosted the North Carolina HVAC competition at Johnston Community College. SkillsUSA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing middle school, high school, and college students for successful careers in the trade, technical, and skilled service occupations through educational programs and hands-on competitions.
Congratulations On State and National Placing
Camden Leonard attended the SkillsUSA HVAC competition at the State level and through determination and perseverance, he earned a first place finish. With this achievement, he advanced to the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in June 2026, which was held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Competing against hundreds of students from across the nation, Camden earned an impressive fourth place finish in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration. HIs accomplishment reflects not only his technical skills and knowledge, but also the dedication and work ethic that have contributed to his success both in the classroom and in the field.

Camden Leonard from our last graduation class recently placed 4th in the Nation at SkillsUSA. Congratulations Camden, great job; continue to make us proud, and continue to show Brady out on the National stage.
Looking Ahead
Camden attended the competition as a student at Guilford Technical Community College. North Carolina also had an impressive performance at the National SkillsUSA Competition, placing second overall. A total of 79 national medals were awarded to North Carolina participants, with 47 of those medals earned by community college students in North Carolina.
Camden’s achievements serve as a testament to the value of hard working, continuous learning, and dedication to the the skilled trades. Congrats Camden, on the continuous outstanding accomplishments. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to seeing his continued growth and success as a part of the Brady team.
